In Year 3 we have been learning French as part of our new topic.  Here are some of the words that we have to say in French throughout the whole topic!

Bonjour – Hello
Salut – Hi
Merci – Thank you
Au revoir – Good bye
S’il te plaît – Please (or s’il vous plaît if it is to someone that you don’t know very well) 

This we have been learning all about Le Tour de France. It is one of the world’s largest bicycle events; it starts at the beginning of July and lasts for three weeks.

Here are the proposed routes we planned for 2019's race:

Brains, brains everywhere!

This week, Year 3 have enjoyed beginning their new Science topic: Brainwaves.  First, we learned about how our brain makes connections - we had to make connections between different objects such as trees, birds, the sun and ice cream! 

Next came the super fun part - we had jelly brains that we had to dissect for facts!

UKA Football Club - End of Term Tournament

Today was our end of term tournament . The children have had a fantastic term of football coaching with UKA coach Jack & today they ended with a tournament . There was brilliant sportsmanship , teamwork & football from both the boys & the girls !Well done to our children for winning their well deserved medals :) 

England Cricket Club - All Stars Cricket Taster

We have been lucky enough to have a cricket coaching assembly & pe lesson from the Essex Cricket Club All Star Team ! We learnt the key skills of cricket which were throwing , catching & batting . We loved the batting and all of the different games that we played ! Ask us about our day .
