World Book Day - Comic Madness !

A huge thank you to all of our children and parents for their effort on our rescheduled World Book Day ! We had 29 very excited children & a brilliant day full of comic book activities.

* Assembly - In our assembly we were lucky enough to meet a comic book artist & see how he draws our favourite comic book characters .

*Art/English - We also planned & designed our own comic books .

*Snuggle time - We had a lovely afternoon with our parents / carers & families reading lots of books in our family . We also loved being able to read stories to our little brothers & sisters !

Road safety Magic !

Last week we were very lucky to have a visit from Alan the magic man ! He had some amazing magic tricks and we learnt how to cross the road safety . We also learnt the magic words .. test us and see if we can remember them ! All of KS1 & Reception loved the show . It was such a fun way to learn about road safety .

2Dickens - surprise visit from the Zoo !

We were very lucky to have a surprise visit from Kimmy's Zoo !
We got to learn all about different animals , where they live and what they eat to survive .
We also got to hold and stroke lots of animals .
We saw a skunk , a snake , an armadillo , an Indian stick insect , a millipede , a sugar glider , a tree frog and a tortoise . Here are some photos of our experience .

2Dickens - Measuring in Maths !

We have been learning all about different types of measurement . 

Week 1 - we were measuring length , width and height in mm , cm and m . We also worked out how long a km was by looking at local maps !

Week 2 - we were measuring mass using weighing scales . We were measuring items in g & km . 

Week 3 - We have been measuring capacity and volume in ml & l .
